Statistics showed that Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO) manufactured 393,728 passenger cars in year 1398 (March 2019– March 2020).
In this period, IKCO produced 278,000 Peugeot , 52,774 SAMAND , 120 Suzuki SUV, 8,757 RUNNA , 32,419 DENA, 1,936 TONDAR (Renault), 7,209 HAIMA (Chinese), 2,331 Dongfeng (Chinese), 4,358 pickups & new Models and also 5824 Peugeot 2008.
Previously, the Industries Ministry regularly published statistics about car production. However, following consecutive declines, the ministry stopped releasing such data.
The current data are extracted from financial statements submitted by automakers to the domestic stock exchange.
Buckling under the burden of US sanctions, Iran’s auto production has been decreasing since June 2018.
but it seems on 1398 (2019) IKCO increased their Production Volume of Passenger Cars about 2% more than 1397 (2018).
